I've seen them, but I don't know much about them. Pretty sure they're British, c.1950s, and there seems to have been a 44 too (top left)

Not sure if Martin found out any more about them, 'cos he was looking for info too. BB might know more. Funny, I was thinking I really out to add it onto the 043 page just the other day.

I see them around; rather poorly made IMHO.

Ta Alf and Bugbear.

They do look a bit odd eh. Think the handles unnecessary. Its got double rods at least to lock the fence. Those australian single rod versions are a pain.
 
I've seen them on ebay before, but I didn't really like the way they looked. I have also seen a Marples brand Record 043 clone. The one I saw had the single fence post.
 
It probably be ok.....as long as its got two rods though.

I loathe fence flexing..... I recently fixed up an old stanley 289, where the problem seemed more pronounced.....if that rod and fence flex a little, to me, that means the blades shifting to and fro off its cut line a little. not good.
