Help with choosing a disc sander.

Some advice wanted on a disc sander about 10” diameter for the bench. I’ve decided I need a disc sander as the Picador linishers don’t do what I want to do. I’ve been looking at Record and few others at around £230 which seem ok all with their faults. Also been offered a Picador 10” bench sander, motor driven not belt, for about £60. So what’s the thoughts on the picador, is it worthwhile investment or would a Record or similar be a better machine?

What's the thinking behind this and what is your current setup not doing for you?

This is a pretty decent machine, Draper have the same unit on a different stand and with a little bit better table for a bullseye more. I will get around to making a bigger table for mine when I get the time and the room

I have had the Picador 10' sander for many years, and there is barely a day goes by when I don't use it. It is a rock solid tool.

I got an Axminster AC200BDS Belt & Disc Sander which I am happy with.
