Help needed

Hi I got my Delter set up today on a new bench but I think I might have a problem ,on starting the machine I am getting a knocking sound as thought it is catching on an other part. Am I being extra causuace or is this just the norm on a delter.Mal

Hi Pixy,
Should be no knocking ---if you can't see anything catching or loose , take the cover off to check the pivot bolts and tension rod for grease

No banging from my 40-540, is not particularly quiet though.

could it be the air blower? not sure if that machine has a bellows ?

If its parel arms scroll saw check bolts where arm is connected to engine.

I have looked at my saw there is a rubber part which is called the boot number 22 on the part exploded sheet and mine is damaged could this be causing the noise Regards Mal

Who makes and sells this saw , have searched and am unable to find it . Is the Delter an old make or one of the Chinwanese ones that is flooding the market now .
