Help match color of the table top

I am trying to restore the table top, it had some marks and wanted to refresh the look.
I am looking to do just the table top and trying to match the finish, I have a feeling this is was stain and some sort of laquer?
Any opinion is welcome, so far I tried things from homebase, Dark oak varnish was too light and Deep Mahogany varnish was too red,
I am leaning to try dark walnut stain and poly finish. I think it was mistake to use varnish

Plum stain maybe? Can always mix stains. Got any similar wood to try some on? Finish applied the the stain makes a difference too. Looks similar to some I did recently. Try using Osmo hard wax oil instead.
