Help... I glued the wrong bits together!!!

That could be another week or so yet though as I've got other jobs to do around the house this weekend and I need to get a frosted glass top made too.

Just remember to clean off all the old stuff thoroughly before you do it again (right, I mean... )

Actually I've always been very skeptical about undoing glued joints with hot water, so I'm impressed as well as being pleased for you.

you can also use meths for hide glue too but you have to be carefull not to damage the polish ( which is the hard bit )

welcome to the group

I have had some success with hammer drill set to hammer only the high rate of light hammer viberations can break the glue film down. This will allow you to pull the joint apart.
