Hello, my name is Luca, I write this post here because I didn't find a section for newbies. I live in Italy but I'm quite confident with english, so I decided to follow this forum. I'm not a full time woodworker, I'm actually a pilot for an italian airline, but anytime I can, I step down to my workshop and I start cutting, planing and jointing.

I hope I've found a place where to share my experience with yours.

Cheers, Luca

Hi Luca,

And a very warm welcome. If you ever come across some large old Italian olive tree trunks, could you think about bringing some chunks over to the UK - would meet you at Heathrow.

Great to have you in the forum

David

Hello Luca , good to have you here. As to this being a place for the woodworker in you , definitely. You will have hours of fun with experts to advise you as well as hopeless klutzes such as myself to amuse you with their silly mistakes. But joy of joys , this group are kind and supportive ( I rely on that at times ). So get comfy and enjoy the experience.
Mike (whose wife is a chef at an Italian restaurant ... If your mom has any recipes to share.)

Hi Luca, once again welcome aboard. Not a bad bunch here, loads of good information and a great sense of humour to go with it. I'm nearly as far south as you. Just a bit north of the Med at Narbonne.

As for your job. You drive the aircraft, I used to be an electrician on them in the R.A.F., but that was a long time ago! Remember the Bristol Britannias?

Thank you very much guys for your warm support, I'm glad to be here and I already know a couple of you out there. I come to the UK quite often and I'm always happy to be there.

I already feel as if I were here for a long time.

Ciao! Luca
