Hello, everyone
My name is Dale and I'm the eldest son of a joiner/carpenter. Unfortunately my father passed away in June at the premature age of 60, and I am administering his estate.
My father has left behind a number of workshop machines, as well as a miscellany of hand tools and power tools. I know that, prior to his death, he had agreed to sell the machines as a lot to a local joiner for a fixed price; he has subsequently pulled out of that deal.
I would like the machines to go to a good home for a fair price, and was hoping that some kind souls here may be able to advise me on realistic prices for the machinery as a starting point, or on reputable workshop clearance services or used machine buyers. The machinery which I have identified consists of:
Burrows, Green Ltd of Colne spindle moulder
DeWalt BS1310 bandsaw
Rutlands DK2080 powered router table
Sedgwick morticer
Morticer with Gryphon motor (unsure of make)
Scheppach TKU table saw
Scheppach HF33 spindle moulder
Whitehead Junior planer/thicknesser
As far as I know, it is all in good working condition if a little rough around the edges to look at. Some of the older machines may catch the eye of enthusiasts! I have photographs which I can upload when permitted.
I am aware that to list a classified ad, I should do so in the classified section and be a supporting member and I will be happy to do that once I have an idea of the value of these machines.
Apologies if I have misused my first post, but I wanted to be completed transparent about my reasons for joining the site in the hope of both getting sound advice from passionate enthusiasts and perhaps finding a good home for my father's machines.
Best wishes,
Dale
