Hello,
Maintenance fitter from Christchurch NZ. I have an Emco Compact 8, a '47 Harrison L5, and an Optimum BF20 mill. Looking forward to getting some inspiration here. I'm mostly interested in model stationary engines, but anything that moves is of interest!

Regards,

Welcome
We always like to see pics of your workshop and things you have made.
I too love model engines, but have not had the time to do this work for many years.
My ultimate, would be to build a working model of a Gardner 8LB3 diesel - about 4 feet long ! But that would be a huge project and probably way beyond my skill level.

Welcome !
What do you call your cat ?
Well, that depends on how naughty he's being. We adopted Peanut and Pistachio (SPCA names) two years ago. Sheena the Labrador is mostly accepting, except when they steal her crate.

As far as tools, here's my '47 Harrison:

Pictured without her belt guard. The white bit attached to the chip guard holds a tachometer, the VFD control pad, and the display from a DRO I could never get working accurately. I have since removed it and am in the process of installing proper glass scales. To the right of the lathe is an angled shelf with the QCTP tool holders mounted on 3d printed brackets. Behind is my "sitting bench" and some of my gauge collection (I've got about 60).

No projects on the boil at the moment until the lathe is done, though I am assembling materials to make a short run of Kant-twist style clamps as seen on Blondihacks.
