Hello all - nice to be here.

I retired because of the pandemic (all my work as a freelance project manager dried up - can't imagine why) and picked up woodworking for the first time since early teenage at school. The impulse was to make some planters and window boxes, because we couldn't find anyone else to to it. Since my client (=other half) seemed satisfied with the work, I've carried on. Made a bench or two and currently planning to replace a utility room worktop that's way past its use-by date.

No need to worry - just do a pallet wood version - seen some truly amazing stuff made from pallets tbh but I don’t have the time to strip them down not to mention all those a annular ring nails that refuse to come back out the way they went in .
