Hegner?

Imagine buying this on just the description of a Hegner without seeing an image then this 'thing' arrives!

Yes a clickbaity heading to get in search results, seems a bit mistargeted though as they are entirely different classes of tool.

Those Aeropiccolas have their fans and attract prices beyond their capability in any case, probably because they are small enough to store in a cupboard or whatever. If you really wanted to brand stuff it go for something similar, e.g. Spirallux, Shapercraft, even Proxxon.
 
Incidentally, I pointed out the "error" to both the seller and eBay.

The seller - a charity - seems to be genuinely surprised by the fact that it's not a Hegner, but to their credit have replied saying so.

eBay, on the other hand, have "investigated" and come back with this....
"We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy."

Ebay are useless but whenever I see a charity listing, I give them a pass. They often don’t know.

That's true...in this case, their volunteers do the listing for the charity, and as you say, may well be "innocent"....
However, the addition of a Multicut-2 user guide does seem a bit naughty!
