Hi again is it possible to it the quick tension release set up on the arm of an old hegner .

Should be ok. I have a Hegner 1 scrollsaw with quick release fitted. There’s a great YouTube vid showing you how to do it. The release is on the back of the saw for tension release and then the blade clamps or normal at the front. Here’s a link to the vid hopefully.
