Hi there, I'm new to the site and just wanted to say hello. I've had a lathe a few yr back which wasnt the greatest but it certainly got me interested in turning, skip forward a few years and far to many ales over the weekend I purchased a hegner hbd200 for £1100 with chucks face plates bowl turning attachments etc..do you good folk think that i have paid a fair price? I think, now im sober and that in cold light of day Im having a mild panic attack.
I was also wondering if any one could reccomend a wood turning course for deep hollowing, as im interested in this disicpline.
thank you stu..
p.s im based in cornwall..

Depends on the condition of the lathe and what chucks and extras you have had with the lathe.
This lathe has a lot of extras that can be bought seperatly that all cost a fair bit, such as the legs, outboard turning attachment, does it have those. Also some of the early models had a 3/4hp motor which was underpowered by all accounts and most owners upgraded to the 1hp motor, which was optional if buying from new.
Remember though-DON'T DRINK AND TURN :D
