IF IT IS A ONE OFF JOB WRAP THE TIMBER IN AN ELECTRIC BLANKET, THEN WHEN FINISHED PUT IT ON YOU OWN BED (The blanket not the timber)

You could go to a rental place and see what they have for heaters. Electric, propane, diesel available in ours from 4000watt electric to half a million+ BTU diesel units. Might be better for a one shot rental over a weekend than buying.
