having spindle cutters ground

I've just found a pair of sash templates with a really attractive profile.( see pics) I would like to have a pair of cutters ground to match then scribe the frames by hand using the templates. does anyone know any firms that would do this at a reasonable cost. I know of whitehill but any more local and cheaper?

I’ve started to use these guys, excellent service, can be as quick as 48hrs depending on the beloved Royal Mail. very reasonable price. In fact, anything other than standard 40mm Euro Cutters Id get them made. For standard 50mm cutters and limiters its £52 including delivery. They do most blank sizes. It’s always worth considering having flip flop cutters made if your profile isn’t too large. Ie turn it upside down for a different or the same profile. You get two for one that way and they cost exactly the same. So for instance, there 40mm cutters and limiters are £48, so if you can get two profiles into a 50mm cutter it’s a far more cost effective solution.

I've got about 10 sashes to make( 5 windows) but also I really like the shape tbh and I'd like to make other windows using it. I phoned a guy down Ashford in Kent and he seemed good and cheap. I'm loving the idea of 2 profiles on one pair of knives. I suppose I could also have the rebate section put on but 40mm wouldnt be deep enough (on a 2 inch sash).also I could make them with bigger rebate for double glazing.
to be honest it's my first venture in custom cutters so a bit experimental as well.

Tewkesbury Saw are good, not sure on the prices lately but very good cutters.

Have you considered making your shape with 2 passes of "standard" off the shelf or "euro" knives, might work out cheaper. The Whitehill book is printed actual size so you can put the moulding on and find something that might do it.

For sashes I mostly use the 30mm by 96mm block in conjunction with a 125mm rebate block. This way you can vary the rebate with spacers. And the 30mm knives are cheaper to have ground.
