I got one of these a while ago. Very well made and easy to use with a little care. Very good value, I think, compared to the quality competitionYoutube review, Bisch basch bosh if you know him.
Very tempted...
The Hongdui plane looks very nice, but it is just a standard router plane with a nice depth stop and height adjuster.
IMO This looks much more interesting:
That's the Woodpecker version. However there looks to be a very similar Blue Spruce Toolworks plane entering the market too:
More expensive tool, but something a little different to the standard. They look to be modelled on the old Preston design rather than the more standard Stanley.
Get what you pay for perhaps? They’ll be good, but they’re about twice the price of the Hongdui/KM.
Possibly, but they’re Hongdui is extremely well made from good quality materials, so you’d want to know what it is that would merit the exteaGet what you pay for perhaps?
An easy comparison.Possibly, but they’re Hongdui is extremely well made from good quality materials, so you’d want to know what it is that would merit the extea
$99 shipping when I just looked. The Hongdui ships free from Banggood.so the shipping cost is likely to bump up the cost significantly.
I sort of know what you mean. I have 3 ebay routers. For me, each job needs two? Adjustment is a matter of care and careful positioning, or I dig in to the working surface?compared my record against the hongduie the record is slow to use cause it isnt as sharp or precise like the hongdui and the hongduie is a lot better and it isnt because the blade is sharp the adjustments are more acurate the blades are easier to sharpen on the moho sharpening system i got from bangood i can adjust the blade to 1/10 mm with the hongdui try doing that with a record if your a power tool worker its like comparing a festool against a black and decker
