Hi all,

I am looking to get a grinding wheel to help sharpening chisels etc.

Just wondered if anybody had any experience of the Scheppach TIGER2000S as a tool sharpening system and could comment as to whether it is any good or not..or any better alternatives?

Many thanks for any replies..

The Robert Sorry belt system is far better. I used to use Tormek and switched over. Tormek is now gathering dust.

I have the Tiger 2000. It produces a good result, if very slowly. If you are a toolmaker, it can produce a very nice ground finish on the edges of irons, etc too.

A thing to watch out for is that the spindle is steel, not stainless, so corrodes with the wet from the stone, eventually cracking the stone - periodic greasing is needed.

I have a worksharp and love it. Not used the Sorby have used a tormek its very good but i dont like how the Tormek/Tiger hollow grind chisels
