I've been watching these forums for a while now and decided I should really join the community. Been doing various diy jobs for more years than I can remember, installed a few kitchens/ bathrooms and general house maintenance. Never really been a perfectionist as far as woodworking goes, but last year I succumbed to the @petermillard jedi mind tricks and bought a track saw/ mft top which now sits on a 100mm frame on my workbench - enjoying making bigger bits of wood into smaller bits of wood with greater accuracy!.
Last thing I made was a boom arm for my mobile dust cart:
I've seen lots of fancy wooden booms with folding joints which are too complex for me. Ended up using electrical coinduit -cost about £13 with the socket. Getting the vacuum hose off the ground has been a revelation - wish I'd don it years ago.
best wishes
