Good source of sapele please

45mm x 60mm

Does this sound a bit pricey? These sizes are for a project I'm working on and the price is based on an order of ten of the above (works out to £12,924.00 inc vat) does anybody know of a place that can supply this cheaper or of an alternative hardwood that could make me a saving,

That lot adds up to roughly .62 of a cubic metre. if you take the cut list as finish sizes, so roughly, £600 inc VAT, obviously there will be a fair bit of waste with some of the sizes you require so i would expect to get that lot as ex timber for roughly £670.

Are they finished sizes, and do you require it finished, or just supplied ex to cut them sizes?

ordering x10 at once would make a massive difference to the price if you require it machined.

Edit just seen it is machined.

You should get it cheaper than that if ordering 10 at once. wouldnt take me more than a coupleof days to machine and would be a tidy £5k in the back pocket which is insane.

Obviously if my calculations are right.

That's what I thought olly, thanks for your help, at those prices it makes my project almost unprofitable, does anybody know of a merchant down here who is better priced?

Hi Gaz. Is that Chiltern Timber? I've always found there is some room for movement on their quotes. James Latham have a branch in Hemel albeit sheet goods, but they maybe interested in an order of that size. Think they are on Maylands.

I will give chiltern a try thank you, I'm building an orangery at the moment, the list is for a roof lantern and a couple of casement windows I need to match up, I am looking at supplying roof lanterns which Is why I'm asking for prices of ten, I have now had another price here for ten lanterns only,
