There are thicker grades of superglue available.

When we had our windows replaced recently, the fitters used superglue plus an activator for a lot of the trim fitting.

Not sure what grade it was but it was made by Permabond

Good luck

Interesting website Travis.

Regarding epoxy: It won't stick to most types of plastic including Polyester if they are smooth. That's a useful characteristic if you want to mask areas to prevent epoxy from bonding and you can pop the cured epoxy out of your plastic mixing container. On the other hand, if you want to bond the Polyester to something else, it's not a good choice. Well, if the Polyester was in the form of a blue leisure suit, you could probably get the epoxy to wick through it. It wouldn't bond to the suit but to itself. :D
