Anybody got any recommendations for waterproof general handling gloves?

Ideally available from Screwfix or Toolstation because they are local.

I found these Watertite Grip Gloves Large but I dont know if they are any good.

I want them for gardening, I suspect mainly collecting up leaves on a damp day, tidying up the garden, etc. I will get some rigger gloves where they need to be thorn proof, and some thing else for general dry, light duties.

I have used those gloves in the past, they are very good but wear out petty quickly.

I have found the rubber palmed ones from aldi to be excellent for gardening. I have gone through two pairs this year which isn't bad considering gardening is my job so they are worn for probably three days a week weeding etc.

Mark, I have had similar ones for ages. Material handling, grubbing out as Tris says, fine. They can be pierced surprisingly easily, pitch pine splinters, that sort of thing. They are NOT a good idea for feeding a TS, router table or P/T; there, they can be partially pulled off, or impede your manipulation, dangerous.

I use these for when I need something water/chemical proof, but also more durable than standard nitrile gloves:

They can be pierced, as can any glove, but are reasonable for the usage you suggest.

The other obvious alternative is to double-glove with a standard nitrile under for waterproofing, and standard gardening leather on top for thorn protection.

I only ever use these ones and have for several years as they last pretty well are comfortable and fit well. Used for anything from handling bricks and pavers, rough wood and general gardening. They don't stop thorns though.
i'm not sure if B&Q still sell them as I buy a box of 10 pairs from Costco warehouse but you can buy 20 pairs on line from them and other companies sell them as well, I paid less than £1.50 a pair for the current box but they're a bit dearer if you aren't a member.
