hello all,

I have 2 7"x 6" gates to fit but the person who message up has made a boo boo and its 100mm too big would rebating the posts be an option to make these fit?

Hello and welcome, I assume that you have made a typo, At 7"x 6", or are these gates for the kids model farmyard!
That would be the easiest way out to rebate both meeting stiles by 50mm, + 3mm clearance, each.
Or take 26mm off each end of both gates.
I hope you have a router!

How wide are the posts? Couldn't you hang them on the outside of the posts rather than in between? Or are they still too big doing it like that?
