Does anyone use one of these systems for finishing?
I would appreciate any comments plus or minus as I am considering buying one.

Thanks

Mike

I've been looking too - but at the lower end of the market. Stumbled across this review that included Fuji.

Think I'll be going for the Earlex 5000.

this system is top gear. no real minuses and i have used it for years. wont really spray emulsion or other thick liquids properly. but for lacquers stains etc absolutely superb and very easy to clean. i have never had to strip mine down in 3 years. my only spare was a pot gasket.

I agree with johnnyb the fuji system is excellent. I have been using one for about 4 years and the quality of finish is superb I have mainly used it for lacquers but have sprayed thicker material successfully with the 2.8mm nozzle. I have just uprgraded my gun to an XT type which doesnt bleed air when not in use. These guns come as standard on all the new sprayers and i just use the old one for primer. I can get a far better finish with the fuji than i could ever get when i used a compresser. Its also highly portable easy to store and you can take it on site easily if you need too.

Thank's for the replies.

The mini mite is lower priced, than the Q series.
Is the noise level the only limiting factor?

Pretty much, yes, but don't underestimate how important this is! The top video on this page will give you some idea of the difference.

Cheers,

I've been watching this thread with interest because I have a full Q3 set and have often wondered if I was the only one to buy one - they hardly ever seem to come up in conversation.

I've had mine about 4 years and I echo what everyone else has said about it being a brilliant peice of kit. Even a finishing dunce like me can get great results with it. To be honest though it's wasted on me as I don't do painted stuff anymore, never really did enough to justify it in the first place, and don't have the space to use it anymore.

I've been toying with selling it for a while now, I even took a load of pics a while back in preparation for outing it on Ebay but never got round to listing it. I'm open to (sensible) offers.
