FTP web site building

hi, am trying to set up a web site. the templates with package are not good (****). have found a template that suits but it will not up load?? my wife is sorting this ( i know nothing :? )

can anyone help or does anyone know of a website that will help.

What software are you trying to use? Is the software on your computer, or is it on your provider's pages?

Hi. I am trying to use NetObjects Fusion and upload to a site hosted by Lycos. I keep getting an error 'could not connect to ftp.sitename.co.uk'. I have tried an evaluation version of CuteFTP and it seems to connect to the hosting ok so I'm utterly confused as to where I am going wrong - Please help!!!

Any advice appreciated as I am a total beginner at this web site stuff and at the point of pulling my hair out!!

You don't need to prefix with ftp, try using www.yoursitename.co.uk

also, make sure the host directory is set corectly, /public_html/
