Free wood!!!

Hi all

This would have qualified as a small gloat if it were not for Ian and Chris and their recent mega gloats :?

I finally, got someone to pay for a new walk-in cupbaord for my lab which resulted in the removal of some bench area form a deep alcove!

I managed to blag the wood and bought it home

Strangely, the MDF with tough laminate on one side is exactly what I needed (and could not find) for my router table top. Have to make a new top now

The laminated MDF is a single sheet 8ft * 8ft which is a strange size. I had to cut it in half to get it home

The lovely thick framework is Iroko I think. Very well made with sliding dovetails in each corner.

I am not sure that you have iroko, it looks a bit too reddy pink, all of the iroko I have seen is more sandy brown in colour. :?
