I've got a garage with a concrete floor and I'm wondering whether to put this down for insulation.

http://www.axminster.co.uk/sessionI...er-Anti-Fatigue-Matting--Pack-of-4-363253.htm

Has anybody used it? With leasing the property, I don't really want to batten out the floor and I could take this with me when I leave.

Also does anybody know where I could get some rubber to make a draught excluder for the bottom of the garage door? There is a 3" gap, apart from the fact it's going to be cold in the winter the leaves blow in,

Thanks

Phil

Hello Phil

Don't know about the matting but you could try something like this for the door

Thanks for that Dave. I phoned the company as what you suggested are ideal, but unfortunately they don't deliver to Jersey :( . I'll have to try and find someone that does.

Thanks Mark, I've just ordered six packs. I should have few tiles spare, so I think I'll be able to make a draught excluder from them :D . Are they flexible?

Cheers

Phil

Yep, very flexible indeed. I would just mastik a couple of strips together, maybe staggered, and wedge the bottom under the door, that should do the trick :D

Cheers

Mark

EDIT : Just read your original post again, 3" gap!!!! Which cowboy installed that then???

I use the Maplin ones, they are very good. We had a Tech teacher at school with a bad back and she used them, it helped a great deal.

Hello Phil

There must be somewhere on the island that can supply you with something like that. You do have a lot of cows over there.

Cheers

Dave

Thanks Dave :D We do have a lot of cows over here and they do produce expensive milk, £1 per litre. Thankfully I think I've got all the bases covered with regard to the garage floor and door.

I bought the same stuff but from CostCo where it was £10 for 8 pieces rather than 4.

It is okay provided that you do not want to move any heavy tools onto it. If you have everything stationary then it is great, if you have all of your tools on wheeled bases then the wheels will crush this.

I also now have far more edges for dust to get trapped in since I laid some of this ;)
