Hello,
Apologies for the following random (and probably stupid) question...
The previous inhabitants of our house lined one of the fireplaces with heavy slate tiles (the sort of thing that some people use for placemats, approx 12" x 9", and about 4mm-7mm thick).
It needs a bit of re-doing in places, as I'm changing the fire surround. How would you recommend sticking the slate to the walls? It looks like they've used a dot and dab technique with what appears to be plaster. Is this the best way? Or should I use tile adhesive (like what you'd use to stick ceramic tiles up in a kitchen or bathroom? The walls are bare brick.
FYI, the fireplace doesn't and won't have a fire in it.
Thanks!
