Fixing router plate!!

I have an MV12v...and made a 3/8" acrylic plate to insert to a table top...will the weight be sufficient to hold the unit in position or will it need to be fastened?

I have the same router in a table, and in my experience it needs no fixing. I am no expert however.

it probably doesnt need fixing- I have a similar weight router and an aluminium plate.

it would probably benefit from a grub screw in each corner. This will allow you to adjust it to be perfectly flush, even if the rebate in your table isnt quite perfect.
