Fittings for musical instrument carrying case

Hi,

I need to make a carrying case for a small button accordion. Where would be the best place to look for decent quality latches and fittings? The case will be around 11" square, by around 6" or so.

It would be kind of disastrous if it came open while being carried around, and I'd also like the fittings to look good.

Thanks for that. They have some stuff there, but clearly its not a main area of interest for them compared to furniture and joinery hardware. They have latches that I could use, but no handles or any sort of lock that would suit a case rather than a door.

I needed a guitar case handle some months ago, and Timsons claimed they could make me a repro one. Cost about £30.00. Might be worth enquiries.

Not quite so classy, but Maplins have a useful range, mainly aimed at DJ gear but including suitable latches, hinges and corner reinforcements:
