First real effort on Lathe

Recently acquired a Coronet Major with all the attachments and been "playing" on and off for a week or so just to get the feel of things. Watched a few teaching turning videos on youtube and decided it was time to do something in earnest

so today i put all other work aside put a piece of timber on the lathe and after half an hour maybe longer I had this.

btw how do you like the Coronet ?
Is it noisy ?

A nice simple shape to start with which means you were able to concentrate on tool control more. Looks like a great effort and look forward to seeing more
