Hello everybody,

this is my first post here. I am Pedro, the owner of finescrollsaw

I have been reading the forum and found some interesting information. Being a UK forum
I am not surprised that some people here know a lot about the early history of Hobbies
and Handicrafts and the amazing patterns these companies produced at the turn of the XX century.

Recently I have added all my scroll saw catalogues to the site. Sorry I am not
permitted to post links, you will find them easily in my site.

A Hobbies catalogue from 1912 is included. I am sure this will be interesting to most
people in this forum.

Also note that I am interested in finding some of the best Hobbies and Handicrafts
designs not yet in my collection of restored patterns. Their state is unimportat
if you can scan the pattern, even if it requires to do it in several files. If you
have an original pattern that you think I may be interested
please contact me. We will make a deal. The patterns I am interested
are the most intricate, large and impressive.
Observe that copyright infringement is not an issue with these original patterns
because they are public domain due to their age.

Pedro.

Hello Pedro Welcome to the scroll-sawing section!
I have been to your site many times and find it most interesting.

I am a bit of a addict in the subject of the Hobbies and Handicrafts companies and have been collecting their stuff for the last 50 odd years.
I was most interested to see the 1912 Hobbies handbook on your site as I have none that old.

My Grandfather (1884-1968) taught fretwork and sold Hobbies and Handicrafts products in his shop, I still have some of his Hobbies handbooks and many Hobbies designs.

I must say I like your fretwork site, very impressive, I have been planning to do a site of my own when I get time, it's main content will be about the Hobbies company.

Sorry the system doesn't permit me to post links.

Make a google search for ¨finescrollsaw¨, my site should be the first one, or simply write www(dot)finescrollsaw(dot)com in your browser.

Some amazing designs and work on your site Pedro.
I particularly like the towers and clocks you have there.
Beautiful.

Thanks for making the Hobbies patterns available, Pedro. Not long after I started scrolling, I downloaded a couple in case I ever feel I have enough experience to cut them. I haven't attempted them yet.
