fantastic stewart, thats my boy, wonderful pen and wonderful photo, as you say, shame about the scratches, but hey, more care needed.

I've been given a tip by a poster on the International Association of Pen Turners forum about cleaning out the burrs on the centre band before assembling the pen as this is what has scratched the nib assembly - luckily I've only done it to one!

Hi Stewart,
Congratulations on an excellent pen, shown off with good quality photos.
I intend to have a go at making pens when I can find someone to show me how, and if they turn out anything like this I will be well chuffed.
I'm also new to this photography lark, so am lapping up the advice given in this thread.

Stewart, what do you mean if you get in to it. YOU are in it. Great work, not just the pen. As been said, please can I borrow the glass idea. All the best UP UP and DOWN the slope. Great fun. Can I have anotherrrrr ohhhhhhhhhh.
 
stewart, that is a very nice pen you have done, one to be proud of. it's a shame about the scratches lol we penturners have all done it. the price you have paid is rearly great for that kit too. the photo well you did get it right in the end, infact its better than mine well done. i dont think you are hooked I KNOW YOU ARE :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
