Then once again you are more than likely to be opening yourself up to all sorts of junk on your machine John, do you really want to use a piece of software that is not supported or containing the latest security measures, you may well have overwritten other files on your machine with older versions, windows should not let this happen but I doubt anyone envisioned you trying this.devonwoody":1niwpno3 said:Heh Roger, I have managed to get internet explorer 6 on my computer :wink:
You may find that Windows Update will try and update the files next time you update, assuming that you have not totally confused the setup and reference files.
EDIT: I see from your other Thread that you have reloaded an older XP/3 disc./installation, my comments regarding security and the fact that Windows update will want to update it still apply.
