Fine woodworking, is this one a scam?

Received email with what I thought was a very good offer of a digital magazine (only) $9.95 for twelve months.

My security program states the security certificate did not meet their standards.

The offer does seem cheap, so is it a scam?

Haven not proceeded with offer at present time.

It looks genuine but its not 9.95, it's 9.95 off, and only for US customers if you read the small print.
It doesn't say what you would actually pay which in my eyes makes it a dishonest ad, probably illegal in the UK.
I wouldn't bother, there's enough free stuff on the web to keep you going for several lifetimes.

Thanks Jacob, I'm always falling for that one.

When Sainsburys do it to me I take the food back next week and tell them they misled me,( I thought it was always like their other sales that was really the price and not the saving.)

The staff disappear from the customer service counter when I walk in our local store.

Nothing dodgy about FineWoodworking though I've had a subscription for years
