Folks I have a Festool CTL Sys, the vac in a systainer thing. I want a re usable bag for it, and the Festool ones are around £65. An outfit called Macam do a bag for this machine at £38.

Does anyone have any experience of the Macam one? Should I just bite the bullet and for for the Festool one?

In put appreciated

No experience of these but a warning.
I have a nilfix low noise commercial vac and ordered 3x 10 packs of really nice looking aftermarket bags for that.
Non woven fabric things whose material looks just like festool, numatic and nilfisk use for theirs. I liked the idea because the fabric should be tougher and less easy to tear than paper.
First use, I was surprised. The material leaks the really fine dust until it loads up and is dusty when you handle the full bags to empty them or to shuffle the contents around and get more in.
It looks fancy but original cheap looking (not cheaper) paper ones filter better.

Verdict, you might save yourself £25 and get a bag just as good, but you just won't know until you roll the dice.

I bought one of These its an actual Festool bag someone had sewn a zip into
No issues except maybe the cardboard showing its age a bit after nearly 2 years. Would buy one again when it breaks

Thanks fellas, I might try that zipped one. Mr Tribe did a video once of something similar using a length of u shaped plastic to close up a bag that he had cut open to re use.
