On the mitre scale, on the front left IIRC, there are three markers. The centre one is obviously the mitre angle, but do you know what the others are for? The bloke in the fixings store didn't.

Cheers
Steve

The two marks either side of the mitre angle allow you to adjust the angle more accurately to half a degree. The two marks must be congruent with the straight lines on the scale.

I have taken this from the manual, but thinking about it makes sence.

Thanks for this part of the review, you've explaned the workings / benefits machine very well. This one goes definitely on my list of thing to look for near a couple of other Festastics tools. Although upgrading to a Festool router and to try the domino system are higher on the list than upgrading my (compared to this one) el cheapo SCMS.

A pitty is doesn't have an induction motor, a quiet but powerful start and run is always nice.

I lived in barerwijk (not sure I've spelt it right) for a couple of years back in the 80's.

:) I guess you mean Beverwijk

I was just wondering if you had an update on how you were getting on with the Kapex?

In my view a tool is worth what the individual is prepared to pay for it, some may think its cheap given all the refinements, some will say its too expensive. Personally I find that its at the top end of what I would pay for such a tool.

Quite right Waka, I saw saw in Pro Trade and I thought it was the dogs whatsits.
