Festool or Makita circular saw

Mark when I move back I will be in Carmarthenshire so I may pick your brains for local board and timber suppliers.

I've only bought hardwood from a local building merchant (Hancock and Brown) who stock European Oak and Meranti, but are quite expensive.
My local specialised hardwood supplier (Swansea Timber and Plywood) are robbing b******s and I wouldn't use them out of principle after quoting me £102 per cubic foot for European Oak. I should have said something but was so disgusted I just walked out. DON'T USE THEM!
I've mainly used reclaimed pine floorboards from a salvage yard in Llanelli called Radnage who are helpful, but again quite expensive.
The "Find My Local..." button at the top of the page says that the nearest timber merchant to me is near Pembroke so is about 60 miles away.

Having said that I have now had a good look at the BoschGKS65 as wobblycogs is considering and feel that maybe the way to go particularly if it will run on the festool rail.

Unless I'm mistaken, it isn't a plunge saw though, is it??

Looks like the wrong code. The new Bosch is the GKT 55 there's a deal on at Axi.
