Hi there
just purchased one of these units and awaiting delivery
Not having done any research find the collection bags are quite expensive, does any one know the best place to purchase and how long they generally last?

Galvo,

I've had a midi since 2007 just sold it and bought a new one thanks to festools £50 off vouchers

Anyway the bags used to be paper and I would empty a couple of times before the inner ripped. Now they are tougher and like the henry bags, you can empty them a few times if you want to. I'm sure festool wouldn't advise it as they want to sell more bags.

Hi Galvo

If you've not received it yet, would it be cheaper to pay to return it and then buy from power tool supplies?

I've also just ordered one and am waiting delivery. I have read elsewhere that some people cut the bags open carefully then gaffer tape them back up

Hi Bear
bought a new ts55 saw at same time so don't think I can as all bought and paid for,but like the idea for reusing the bag.

Don't bother cutting the bags open there's no need, you can just carefully shake the bags and all the dust just comes straight back out the hole it went in through

I got my new one from taylors tools they price matched with powertool supplies and I got £50 off

Was a bit annoyed when I got home and realized the hose wasn't in the box but a few days later they couriered one to me .
