I just spotted this on the Festool owners group. If anyone needs a carvex jigsaw look on ebay now theres a 240v one on there with accesories 2 weeks old for £255 buy it now absolute bargain if it was 110 v i would have snapped it up. I havent posted the link just do a search.

Wow! £300 for a jigsaw...eck! where do you draw the line at quality and price?

NO Jigsaw is worth that amount.

To buy that you would need to use a jigsaw frequently.

Strikes me that manufactures are laughing their heads off at Joe public.

Thats nothing the full jigsaw kit is £451

And only a fool would part with their money to buy it. :)

In that case there are a hell of a lot of Festool fools on this forum, including me. One of us (Mark) just happily spent £500+ on a lovely Domino https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/forums/my-n ... 42966.html which was a bargain. Just because you would not spend it does not mean you have lower yourself to calling us fools.

Stay cool George

True - what people choose to spend their cash on is their own concern - its similar to shiny plane syndrome , i'm in the its a tool just use it camp - but if other people want to spend extra on posh handles etc then thats their perogative and i wouldnt call them names because of it

with the exception of the domino I dont get the festool thing either and am quite happy with my Dewalt kit but if someone wants to buy a festool then who are we to decide that they've made a foolish choice

Did I mention Festool? I said and I quote: No Jigsaw is worth that amount of money.

My jigsaw get used once in a blue moon and its the only power tool that anyone has that gets used infrequently.

George,

you're not doing yourself any favours on this forum are you.

Let alone Festool there are a lot of people who spend a lot of money on other brand tools on this forum and you have basically just called us all FOOLS do you think thats a wise thing to do when next thing you will be asking for help with a problem ?

I for one spend quiet a bit on tools as its my business and I need good reliable tools that wont let me down thats not being a FOOL in my book.

I've been thinking that for the last few weeks, what happened to joining, saying hello, getting to know the guys and a bit of respect for the standing members? People here will bend over backwards for you, but alienate us and you'll miss out on a massive part of the forum.

Festool is worth every penny in my book, if you've used it and don't like it then fair doos, if not maybe you should before you call us fools.

The new T15 drill is really good, easily better than any Makita/DeWalt jobby. The FS sa ids also excellent and I can now trim a door and not even bother with a plane, its tha good, saves so much time.
