Hi

Do you know of any problems fitting the Festool EBQ1010 to a Triton router table, I can only get three clamps on the base of the router. Do you thinf it will be Ok ?

Call me picky, but I wouldn't want to hang any router upside down unless I was quite sure it was well enough attached, let alone one as expensive as that. I may be wrong, but it sounds to me like you already know it's not right but want someone to disagree with you

Yes your right, I just needed a second opinion (;-)

I am already re thinking how to perform the task I need to do without using a table.

pop down to b&q or similar and buy a cheap router to live in the table, as its cheap you will be able to drill extra mounting holes in the base without concern.

then you can have the best of both worlds and still have your festool available for freehand use.

Yes I agree for the long term I think a cheap router in a permanent base is the answer.

The Festool 1010 router is their smallest router and correct me if I'm wrong, but designed for hand held router operations, not for installing into a table.
A couple of things you might want to be aware of here, you could damage the expensive router, or worse still damage yourself.
What sort of routing job are you hoping to achieve?

A lot of hobby workshops have a dedicated router with table, and smaller routers for hand held jobs etc.

I've no idea how the Triton mounts look or work, but for interest Festool's own router table secures the router with just three clamps that are tightened with hand screws only...and needless to say it's as solid as the rock of Gibraltar!
