Hi All,

I have recently bought a Bosch GTS10 XC table saw. I have unboxed it today and assembled it.

I have found that the fence is not square to the table, see photo.

I have searched through the manual and cannot see how I can adjust this. Do you have any advice? Is this the norm for these type of saws?

I am thinking about returning this for a Record Power TS250 (but am I likely to encounter similar problems with this saw?)...

What do you think?

Thanks

There is no photo.

Sorry about photo, having trouble getting files off the camera phone.

In any case, there is a 2mm gap between the top of the fence and the square.

Thanks Andy - yes, running across the table, the fence is not 90 degrees vertically with reference to the table.

Will try shim it. Is this normal with these "site saws"? Or is this normal for most table saws?

There must be adjustment surely. Bosch has a good reputation.
Are there any adjustment screws in the saddles of the fence? Is the front rail fitted with bolts in oversized holes to allow for adjustment? I'm not familiar with that particular saw but I would be astonished if it had no adjustment.

Some photos would help, actually.

thanks guys, i've had to add layer upon layer of tape underneath the fence in order to correct it.
Now the fence doesn't move correctly!
Just sent an email off to the supplier requesting return..
