Felder FB400 Bandsaw - Good?

Hi Folks

I have the chance to procure a Felder FB400 bandsaw at a reasonable price. It's virtually brand new and according to the owner it's *never* been used :shock:

Anybody used one? I know Felder are the best of the best but I was just wondering if anybody has seen/used one?

I think (not certain) that the Felder bandsaws are the Italian ones reworked to Felder's specs. This means it should be rather good. The Italian saws are better than the Chinese ones at present and Felder's in-house panel saws etc are top drawer. I wouldn't hesitate to get it if it was offered to me.

I think your right on Chris, i have the ACM BS 540 and its specs and looks are identical to the Felder version. Both made in the same factory in Italy
