Well I now have my short Makita rail drilled with the holes at 32 mm centres using the jig supplied by FC tools and can say that it is so easy to do and accurate. My main reason is not so much for these holes but the router sled. I had the choice of either just a router sled or the LR32 system which allows the sled to be indexed or used just as a sled and rather than say I will never use the 32mm indexing I knew from past experience what would happen if I brought just the sled!!!!
The drilling jig is on the right, uses a trim router, 16mm guide bush and a 6.3mm cobalt drill that is supplied and the sled is on the left fitted with the indexing lever. You can fix the trim router down, use a 16mm guide bush by putting the adaptor in the hole or just use a 30mm guide bush direct but not the deeper 10mm type.
