Hi All,

I learnt last night that Ford Oil Filters have a solid steel flat base, fitted with a 3/8 16 thread,

I called my Mechanic pal and he will be saving any he replaced for me.

Just need the filter body trimming off,

Ta Da !

Cheers

And some others Loz. They are great for making sanding disks, just screw some MDF to the oil base fitting, round it all off and fit a adhesive sanding pad. I had a few when I had a Record, but they don't make them to fit 1" x 8TPI  . Or my big lathe.
