The good lady wife was using it quite intensively over the past few days sanding some skirting boards, she has been wearing for half hour at time session and reports no dampness or discomfort -

Sounds promising, my thanks to Mrs "mr"

I could never get on with the disposable masks because of the steamed up bins issue so I tended not to wear a mask - no longer an issue with the Airace.

Even the more expensive valved ones still have this problem. I find it very annoying and potentialy dangerous

If you fit a gasket around the ciggy hole you should be alright but then it could be argued that the smoke would cancel out the harnful effects of any dust anyway - neutralising the nastiness before they get to the lungs:)

Cheers Mike

Thanks Mike

One Air Ace soon to be ordered.

Another vote for the Trend Air Ace here - had it for over two-years with no complaints. The optional clip-on visor is excellent if for woodturning but, it's a bit of a pain if you want to keep removing it and putting it on again.

In the summertime, when I've been wearing it a while, I do get a build up of moisture inside the rubber face-piece. Then again, I sweat like a Heroin-addict all-year-round, no matter what I'm doing....

One thing that does occasionally bother me is the vibration I sometimes get when I breathe out. I think it just means that I need to readjust it though.

This has prompted me to invest in an air ace. Wasn't there talk of it being changed at some point? Or was that the airshield?

Yes it was the Airshield, and it has already been replaced by the Airpro.
