Not this old chestnut again! Yes it has been seen a lot on the 'Net' There is a copyright on it somewhere on the internet that describes the mechanism. It is certainly an engineering acheivement. I was also amazed at the workings of this one.

We should have a point system for the amount of time certain things are posted about. This one would definitely be up in double figures!

Someone will post the waling table next and then the saw stop video

hi

I don't care  how many time it been done on here before , first time I've seen it as well , still, it sure would be nice to know what type of mechanism was used to be able to open and shut it like that, really neat 8) 8) . hc

I don't care either! tired of hearing do a search etc... no one forces anyone to read and not all of us have been here as long as some. I haven't seen this before and think it is brilliant!! I doubt it would be on my list of things to do though.

People, you can ignore threads you have read or seen before quietly and allow those who haven't seen the idea or previous threads to enjoy it!!!

Probably the only way we're going to see the mechanism is to buy then boat that its on

It's patented, ie. it is described in exact detail such that anyone skilled in the art can make one
