OK, now all of you going to the wonderful Eurovision 'song contest' in Lisbon this year please note wot you can't take in with you!

I wonder how they are going to stop all the phone cameras, phone sound recording stuff, etc? And you are NOT allowed to take in crowbars  I never go in to concerts without mine?

Oh, and NO guns! It's going to be really boring me-thinks :|

Edit : - I tried to post the poster showing these items, but no go

So here's the link https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-43898535

I think that the odd part about this is that the list is based on passed experience by the promoters.

some of them I can understand, others, well those are a bit odd.

I guess the majority of the tools listed are there because people (not really UK) have been known to steel bits of set/seating/display items from eurovision the sell them on Ebay, we do have to remember that whilst we see it as a bit of a joke, in other countries it is a serious thing with a massive following.

The programme didnt get worse when wogan left, but the "shared joke" that is eurovision went with him.
he knew exactly how the system worked and constantly let everybody KNOW he knew.

Sadly missed, Wogan.

Don't think it did at all. Norton isn't in the same league as Wogan but he 'knows the score' in relation to Eurovison.

Best nights telly of the year!

Havent seen Norton on the TV for several years now (I'm lucky that way). I find him a bit too pushy for my style of humour, Wogan was almost horizontal in his relaxed way.

As soon as I hear Graham Norton open his mouth I switch off. He's the most self important, jumped up little prat on TV.
Aaaannyway, speaking of Wogan and Eurovision reminds me of what my friend used to say about Glenn Miller - it's a shame he died and his music lived on rather than the other way round. :D

you know the REALLY bizarre thing about this?
There actually ARE people who WOULD take those things along to a singing contest!

(in this case I use the word "singing" in its loosest context).

It always was the bottom of the barrel, but Wogan's sarcasm and subtle p1$$ taking was second to none. He was a legend =D>

There was nothing subtle about it at all.

I've never found Wogan funny in any programme he did and he certainly didn't know when to STFU in EuroVision, much like Norton.

Nothing a eurovision song contest to get the opposing sides lined up, is there? (hammer) (hammer)

OK, fair point that he wasn't that subtle, however, he's nothing like Norton! Still, each to their own

OWK :eek:ccasion5:
