Hi Lads and Lassies
Some of you might know Eugene aka Boysie 39 from the scrolling forum. I met Eugene on this site and I always found him to be a pure Gentleman. Looking at his posts, he always has something nice to say and I know he enjoys reading all the posts on the site. The first time I posted, Eugene got in touch and gave me his number, the fact that we are both in Ireland and scrolling is not as big over here, we kept in touch and to cut a long story short, Eugene has to give up scrolling. It would be a nice gesture if you could all send him your best wishes for the future as I know he still reads the posts here and it would make his day.
Thanks and Regards
Brendan

It will be a pleasure to say thank you to a gentleman, i first came across eugene via this site also, he offered to send me some irish bog oak and would accept no payment for it, i did turn him and his wife a pen from it and went on to make many more, I hope you are feeling well Eugene and please keep them irish eyes smiling, all the best mate..

You won't know me boysie but I always read your good-natured and fun posts, and try to fathom your sense of humour :D

All the best.

Hi Eugene,

didn't post over here...but have lurked for a while and always enjoyed your posts.

Mike

Eugene is a wonderful man and tallented scroller as well as a good all round wood worker. I have exchanged many e-mails with Eugene and we became good friends. I shall miss his post on here. When I first started to apply routing techniques to my scroll saw work Eugene very kindly sent me some books on the subject and they are a continual source of reference for me. He was always the first to help anyone in need. Keep well Eugene and I wish you all the best for the future.

It's sad when you have to give up something you love doing. I hope you can manage to do something else enjoyable to pass your time, Eugene. I can thoroughly recommend whiskey/whisky tasting, although it tends to be even more cash consuming than scroll sawing. :)

I'm sure Eugene will find something to do, he has always seemed that type of person, so much a gent as far as i seem to find him, good luck Eugene.

Regards Ted......

Hi Eugene.

I don’t know you, but I know what’s it like to have to give up an activity you enjoy.

I wish you the very best.

Take care.

Chris R.

Boysie,
That's a real shame to hear you have to stop woodworking.
Keep smiling, fellah - we will all be thinking of you, I am sure
Take care of yourself
Greg

First of all , Thank you all for your kind words and good wishes  ,I hope to continue as a member of the forum and hope that members will post pictures of their work when they can because (as yet) there is nothing wrong with the auld eyes and I love seeing what you folk are up to .

I met Brendan {my press agent} and his wife yesterday ,lovely people ,. Brendan has bought my saw and it is great to know that it is gone to someone who will make good use of it. I expect to see lots of his work posted on here as soon as he has set up everything ..

Again thanks for your kind thoughts, and remember that there are others who don't scroll who get pleasure from seeing your work ,and who knows may like to buy something .

God Bless you my friends .

Hi Eugene it is with deep regret to here that you have had to give up scrollsawing, and it must have been very sad to say that I have to give up a hobby, that you enjoyed doing.I have a health problem that is not going to go away,I have been having treatment and at this moment in time has been kept in its place. It is only scrolling and a lot of projects to do that is keeping me sane.Thank you Eugene for the posts that we have exchanged over the short time that I have been a member of this site.I endorse every word that has been said about you.

Very Best Regards Always
Bryan
