I presume youve pocket screwed the wrong side. :( You can get wooden plugs to fit the pocket holes which will probably shrink less than filler and be less noticeable under the paint.

I make my own plugs 9mm dowel angle hole in a block of wood clamp it in chop saw insert dowel cut done easy

drill a hole in a piece of scrap hardwood using your pocket hole jig this gives you the right angle for the plug
I glued the angled hole timber to the end of a batten to allow for clamping in your mitre saw.
then clamp assembly in mitre saw with blade just brushing the edge of the hole .
put dowel in angled hole and cut one angled plug cut dowel to length 2nd angled plug.
