i am still watching the thread. If i am careful when i centre the blank, i can use a pen blank. I can fairly easily try several of these without major expense because i have just bought a job lot of wooden pen blanks. I am sure that i have some mahogany, zebrano, palm, laburnum, oak. not sure on plum or blackthorn, but they can be on phase 2!

I had a day off today so had a bit of a play.

Oak, yew and black palm.

I have another set of black palm that I am going to try bleaching and an oak set that I am going to fume.
