I have an ELU MOF96 router, it is a little gem, unfortunately it has started to show it's age, sometimes when i start it the speed drops then picks up again.
I want to get it repaired as it's a bit like a family heirloom. It was my dads and he bought it in the late 70s when he bought it new. I have had it for a number of years and would like to keep it going.

I have contacted a company in Somerset, Miles Tool & Machinery but have not heard back from the as yet. I live in North Hampshire.

have you checked brushes?

could be switch or bearings of course.

Any dewalt repair agent will do it, its virtually identical to the DW615

The early Elus are much better made than the current Dewalts, so definitely worth repairing, apart from sentimental value

Miles Tools are very good for spare parts. I've never asked them to repair stuff. They are a family firm, recently relocated from Shepton Mallet to Yeovil, so now a bit further away from me than previously.

I'd try the brushes first, also check the speed control magnet is in the right place on the shaft. On the Trend T11 (Elu-copy) I have it wandered away from the sensor. Can't remember the Elu model numbers though, so yours might not be the original mine is copied from. Anyway the fix for that is a bit of glue or Loctite.
